Bath Buddhist Group

The Bath Buddhist Group was established over forty years ago and aims to promote an interest in Buddhism and to encourage its study and application. We welcome all who are interested in Buddhist practice and teachings, whether you are new to Buddhism or have an established practice, and whether you subscribe to a particular tradition or not.

Currently we meet outdoors on Sundays at 10am for walking and sitting meditation, in Henrietta Park.

Next outdoor meeting: Sunday 1st November

Please see the meetings page for more details

Indoor meetings cancelled due to Covid-19

We are currently waiting for the room to become available again. Please check back for updates.

Usually we would meet on Thursdays at 7:45pm for meditation and occasional talks by visiting speakers, at Bath Scout Headquarters, 7 Grove Street, Bath, BA2 6PJ.

With the Bath Buddhist Group you’ll find a community where:

  • You can meditate in a supportive environment.

  • You can join others in developing your understanding and application of the Buddha’s teaching.

  • If you wish, you can discuss your daily practice and share your questions.

  • Long-standing practitioners of various Buddhist traditions are on hand.
