Bath Buddhist Group

We dedicate the merit of our meditation practice to those who have died or are suffering from Covid-19, or who are working on the front line of the pandemic.

We also send good wishes in our metta practice to a friend of the group, Vajrin, as he copes with a difficult time.

The Bath Buddhist Group was established over forty years ago and aims to promote an interest in Buddhism and to encourage its study and application. We welcome all who are interested in Buddhist practice and teachings, whether you are new to Buddhism or have an established practice, and whether you subscribe to a particular tradition or not.

We meet on Thursdays at 7:45pm for meditation and occasional talks by visiting speakers, at Bath Scout Headquarters, 7 Grove Street, Bath, BA2 6PJ.

Upcoming meetings cancelled due to Covid-19.

Please check back for updates.

With the Bath Buddhist Group you’ll find a community where:

  • You can meditate in a supportive environment.
  • You can join others in developing your understanding and application of the Buddha’s teaching.
  • If you wish, you can discuss your daily practice and share your questions.
  • Long-standing practitioners of various Buddhist traditions are on hand.
